Smiley

After the Father's Day dinner, all of us took a walk at Tropicana City Mall. There was a Tea Expo and Dad was busy looking around. All of us came upon this cute little fellow :)

Papa Day Dinner

It was Father's Day today and we celebrated at Pho Hoa Noodle Soup at Tropicana City Mall. Tried to make booking at other places but all of them were fully booked. Well, this place was alright as well. It serves Vietnamese Noodle Soup. The food is delicious and the soup has it's own unique style and taste. Everyone enjoyed the dinner.

Cameron Highland - Family Trip

It was June 5th and it was also a public holiday in Malaysia. It was our King's Birthday. We took the chance to have a family trip to Cameron Highland. It was only a 2 days 1 night trip whereby we travelled to Cameron Highland in the morning and return on the next day. The drive to Cameron Highland was slow as the traffic was slightly heavier than the usual and to our surprise, we were stucked in traffic while we were at Cameron Highland. My sister made a reservation of a bungalow unit at Tanah Rata. The unit was very comfortable and was able to fit all of us. The weather was lovely during our stay at Cameron Highland. And I took lots of photos. Here are some of the photos. For more of it, do go to my Facebook account and view it. Fantastic trip. Everyone was happy~! That's the best thing about it~!

♥ Kelvin & Lynnie ♥

Congratulations to Kelvin & Lynnie on your wedding day. I was invited to Kuala Terengganu (KT) to attend their wonderful wedding. I drove for 4 hours from Kuala Lumpur to KT. The drive was very nice with those winding roads at the estates. The reception was beautifully decorated and had lots of fun during the morning session. Lynnie was waiting at Primula Beach Hotel, where I was also staying. There were some nice games yet easy for us to pass. Lucky us *phew~ At night, the dinner was at Primula as well and it started sharp at 7.30pm. Everyone was punctured~! I like that. If the dinner was stated 7.30pm, it will start at 8.30pm or even 9.00pm. I do not know why, but KL just ain't puncture enough. Sad to know that. The dinner was entertaining with Mr. Funny but was a little too loud.

Besides that, I was happy to meet some new friends. There were the "Ji Muis" for the bride side. And we got to know each other during the morning session. And also a drinking session after the dinner :)

Eating around at Kuala Terengganu

I was at Kuala Terengganu (KT) for just a short time. So only manage to taste a few of the local food around. Went to KT to attend a friend's wedding. Most of the time was spent at the wedding. The only food I tasted at KT were Rojak Ayam, Nasi Dagang and some appertizer made by the family from Kelantan. Taste delicious. Have a look at some of the photos and you will agree it's delicious.

♥ Hanif & Aida ♥

Was invited to the reception of Hanif & Aida at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama. It falls on Mother's Day as well. I was thinking a Mother's Day dinner can be replaced on the following week, but my friend cannot have another dinner reception, so I decided to attend my friend's wedding. How good a son am I? :P Anyway, the reception was beautiful with it's red and black theme. Also accompany by many celebrities from the entertainment industries. The selection of songs were excellent. No doubt that it was also Catalunya GP at Barcelona, the my-karters were all looking at their mobile phones (Mobile F1 Application) instead having their eyes on the bride & groom. The night was absolutely high-class. But too bad I have to leave early due to illness and miss the cake cutting session.

Congratulations to Hanif & Aida~! Have many babies and a wonderful life together~! Thank you for your invite to such a glamour dinner.

IronMan 2

I was told that Ironman 2 was not as good as the first one. So I went into the cinema without any high hopes and expectation. Well, it all started with the show off attitude from Tony Stark but with a lonely heart as usual deep down in him. Then it was like some typical Korean movie whereby the main hero is about to die and everything seems to fall apart. Lucky to have discover a secret hidden in his father's treasure like National Treasure and finally enable himself to cure himself. Of course there is always this rival of his, trying to fight against him. I would say the whole story was just at par. Because you would know exactly what will happen in the next minute or so. Nevertheless, the graphics were excellent to watch. I find the movie wasn't that bad. I actually thinks that the 2nd one was better than the first. If anyone of you have not watch it, be sure to wait till the end of the credit. There is a special surprise for you like the first one. My rating is 7/10 stars.

Ip Man 2

There is nothing new that I am watching movies in the cinema alone again. Eva was off to Kuching for the weekend for inspection, so here I am.. stranded alone in the city, nothing to do on a Friday night. I went for Ip Man 2. I have watched the Ip Man and the story with the fighting scenes were already very good~! It's glued me to my seat. Ip Man 2 has twice the fighting and twice the excitement from part one. As we all know that Ip Man is a very generous, patience man. Despite his trouble times trying to make ends meet, he is still that generous and patience man. He fought for the dignity of Chinese Martial Arts this time. OK. I am not going to talk more about it or else I can bragged out the whole story and you won't even need to watch it yourself. I reckon everyone should glued themselves to the seat for this one~! Enjoy~! My rating is 9/10 stars.

Sakae Sushi with the GTT Clan

Today was my-Kart Driver Series Round 5. I am very lucky that it falls on Labour Day and my company is on a holiday. So I manage to join this round and was first in the K1 Group B. Excellent race from the start to the finish~! We then organized and arranged a dinner after the race. Initially we wanted to go for Korean food, but there were some Malay friends. So we have to find a halal restaurant so we can have our meal together. The food was alright. Typical japanese food, but I don't like raw food. We ate all cooked Japanese food. Check out some of the photos of the food.

Agora

Was a little sick yesterday and so I didn't manage to go to the gym. Instead I done some light weight training at home with my personal weights. It was good, because I sweat a lot and it helps with healing my light flu. A 500ml of Vitamin C also helps. Anyway, I was thinking if I were to train at home, it's a little boring looking at the walls and pumping irons. So I went to the night market, lucky it was Tuesday, and got myself a DVD. Heard my friend said that Agora is a good movie and so I bought it without having a second thought, not even knowing what the story was about.

Agora, a story about Gods and Jesus. Christians and Jews. The war between them. The hatred between them in the past. And there was this young lady whereby she believes in her philosophy trying to solve the earth is round and it circulate in an orbit. At the meantime, there were war among religions. Anyway, I do not wish to further comment on this movie because I do not understand the Bible for I am not Christian or even understand their teaching. So I am only afraid that I will say something bad or wrong about it. As for the movie, it's good indeed. And no doubt about it, I think everyone should watch it regardless what religion are you. I think this movie is banned in Malaysia, because the government always says that they are a Muslim country. So much for 1malaysia~ My rating is 8/10 stars

Date Night

I was expecting much from this movie actually. All I know it was funny from a friend's comment. So it all started normal and I was thinking to myself, where are all the jokes. I thought it was suppose to be funny. Well, the fun didn't came until they were the TripleHorns~! But I would say that the jokes ain't that funny, for some of it. And I was sure why the people around me were laughing at them. It's either I am not getting the joke or these people around me are idiots and think that the jokes are funny. It's not~!! But to be honest, some of the jokes, I was laughing my lungs out~! The story was just a normal couple trying to be special for just one night until they took someone's reservation and becoming another couple. It turns out that the couple they just became is someone who has stolen something precious from a mafia boss, and people are after them. So these normal New Jersey couples were on for a wild and dangerous trip trying to save their name~ If you fancy watching movie in the cinema, you can still go with this, else just get a DVD. My rating is 7/10 stars

The Losers

Another movie from the comic book. The Losers starts off with 5 soldiers given a mission to lock a target at an enemy's hideout. They found out that there were childrens inside after locking the location, the broke into the hideout and save all the children out. A helicopter came to their rescue but couldn't occupied everyone. So they let the children aboard not knowing that they were being sabotage, a fighter jet fired a missle towards the helicopter and killing everyone on board. It was meant for the soldiers. They seek revenge knowing they have been sabotaged. This is how it all started.

But knowing it is from a comic book, you except something more fiction or spectacular. But I was a little disappointed with the story actually. The pace of the movie was somehow seems slow to me. The shooting scenes ain't that spectacular too. I would say it's just like a normal Mission Impossible movie whereby there is someone good with his shooting, his computer, his leadership, a traitor, someone who can drive and of course someone who is always a step back making unfunny jokes so that the audience can laugh. Oh.. and how can I forgot there must be a beautiful lady that comes with it. Typical Mission Impossible movie. My rating for this movie 6/10 stars.

AlienRT 2010 T-Shirt Design

The following is the 1st draft of the Alien Racing Team 2010 T-Shirt Design. This year, I want it to be more professional looking with applying the colours of Malaysia - Red, Blue, Yellow and White. At the same time, keeping it simple and clear vision for the sponsors as well. The size of the icons and text are not actual size yet. They might be smaller in the real thing. But the position of every icons and text are at their actual position.

April 20, 2010
This is the 2nd draft of the design. After being inspected by the Team Principal, Naza, he reckon there is only a slight changes to it, which it to put the logotype or the Alien logo at the back. So let's see the response.

April 21, 2010
Now the design is put into it's original colour. Orange. This is how it will looks like with the actual size of the logo and the logotype of the sponsors.

Shutter Island

A very disturbing movie that start out with Teddy (Leonardo) on a ship with his partner Chuck. And they are heading towards Shutter Island to solve a case of a missing person in the most dangerous island. The island is basically a mental institute. The most dangerous people with mental problems will be in there. Both of them are to solve the case. But the twist starts in the middle of the movie where he thinks it is a trap from the government to keep him away from exposing an experiment that the government are doing. Then secrets are revealed. I love the script and the movie. But this is not an everybody movie. First, it's disturbing, second, you will need to sit through the whole movie to know what is going on. Brilliant movie yet suspense~! My rating is 8/10 stars.

KickAss

It's Ass-Kicking Awesome~!! The movie titles says it all~! KICKASS~! This is one of the most different Superhero movie that I watched since I started watching movie in the cinema. It's all about normal people who wants to help people but they do not have special powers. The movie is not just about fighting, but a mixture of comedy as well. I would not want to say anymore about it to spoil the show, but it is a definite must watch movie~! My rating is 9/10 stars~!

Clash Of The Titans

Eva was out of town again for 1 week, and I am left alone here in KL. There was nothing to do during the weekend, so I went for movie alone again. This time I watched Clash of The Titans. When the movie started, I thought I was playing God Of War in big screen. Hehehe.. the names of the characters was exactly like God Of War. The movie was interesting from start all the way to the end. The CG was flawless. But a little disappointing on the God's costumes. They look dodgy. Besides that, it's a wonderful movie. I reckon everyone should watch it. My rating is 9/10 stars.

Dak Gal Bi

Finally found a restaurant at Ampang that sells Dak Gal Bi. Yummy~!!!

How To Train Your Dragon

Before Eva went to Penang, I watched this movie with her. We didn't watch 3D because we always got headaches after watching it. Typical 3D animation story whereby this boy was the useless one among all the vikings in the village. He is small and tiny and weak while the rest are strong and fast and aggressive. Then one day he caught a dragon using one of his creations. No one recognized his catch. So he went to find the dragon. Tempting to kill the dragon in order to get his fame, he let the dragon go and that is where the story of how he train his dragon starts. Rating 7/10 stars.

It's Complicated

Got nothing to do one day and Eva was away to Penang for one week. So decided to watch a movie. Went to the cinema and there was nothing that attracts my attention. Wanted to watch something funny and ask the ticket counter guy which is a comedy and he said "It's Complicated bang, banyak kelakar". Trusting his words I bought it and watch it with Zul. It was funny.. Hahahaha~! Romantic comedy. After such a long time I have not been watching such category, it's nice once in a while. It's about a divorce couple for 15years suddenly got hooked up together again after having a drunk sex. And there were in an affair while the guy is married and the girl was single but was seeing someone else. It's funny.. I reckon you guys should watch it. Rating 8/10 stars.

Lotus F1 Karting with Drivers

I was browsing my Facebook account when I saw an update on John King's status saying that he will be busy the whole day. Morning he will be with Nabil launching his Formula BMW races and in the afternoon karting with the Lotus F1 Team. It strikes me when I say Lotus F1 team on his status. Instantly I replied to him asking when and what time the event is being held. He replied asking me not to inform anyone, because it is consider a private session with the press. And so I did. It was held at Elite Speedway Plus at 4.00pm. Lots of media was there. I was always behind the media, because I do not want to disturb the guys at work. Sanjeev Palar from Engine Block was there as well. It was a short press conference with Tony Fernandes, Riad Asmat, Hekki Kovalainen, Jarno Trulli and our Malaysian driver Fairuz Fauzy. Everyone has a few words for the press before heading to the track. The kart was specially prepared by John. The bumpers were painted with green and stickers were on it. Looks fantastic. The karts were fitted with Yamaha 100cc engines complete with electric starters. Basically the same specs with the Yamaha SL cup. It was rainy that day and those guys just drove it with slick tires on. Trulli was not out on the track due to some reasons. So Hekki, Fairuz and Tony took the karts and had real fun out there. Hekki even did a 360 degree spin on purpose for show at the main straight and just before the right hairpin after the parabola. Fantastic~! And the best part of the day, I took my Arai helmet and ask for the driver's autograph. So now my helmet is official Alien Lotus helmet~~! Woohoo~!!
