1000 Lanterns

Saw an advert in the papers saying there were 1000 lanterns at Jade Hills. So I went there and took some pictures. It was a nice simple event. Many performance like drums, masking changing and many dances.

Buka Puasa at d' Fazz

It was the season for the Malays to have the fasting for a month before their New Year begins. Me and my wife were invited to the Buka Puasa Open House at Fazz's house. Nice house. Nice location. Away from all the noise and everything in the city. Peaceful area. Love the place. The best thing about it was of course the food, drinks, and the desert. Fantastic.. hope to have another Buka Puasa~

Merdeka Endurance Race

It was a cloudy morning at Sepang International Circuit on the 30th August 2008. I was joined with Team Titan Racing where my fellow karters, Luen and Desmond is in the team. Wasn't able to get a media pass before race day, so I was planning to leave early as there is not much to take just at the pit. But I was wrong. Being in the pit itself has already taken half of my memory spaces. With all the cars, the pit girls, and of course, the team. Overall was a good day and night. The only sad thing about it was the car broke down on them when there were still probably 4 laps remaining on a very strong 2nd place. The rest was good!!!

Arim Trip To KL 2008

After 7 long years, she came back. It's Arim. The one on the far left. Beside me is her friend working in Malaysia for 3 years. Her name is Song-i Han. And that's me on the right. She came down last Friday, and I went to the airport to fetch her with her friend. They had dinner and was rushed to the bus station to make their trip to Tioman Island. How I wish I can join.. Anyway, it was great of her to visit us. And felt sorry that everytime she asked us to go Korea, I would answer her "I'll come next year" :P

Release of the Python

Few days back at the shop, while my dad was cutting some leaves for prayers; out of a sudden he was surprised by a baby python hiding beneath the leaves he was cutting. He was lucky that it didn't bit him. So we caught it and places it in a plastic back. We called the "Snake King Hong" to come and collect the snake and free it to the wilds, but he didn't turn up. So we decide to do it on our own. We done it once before with "Snake King Hong"; but that was a much bigger python which needs the pro to do it. This baby, we can handle it ourselves ;) We took it to the previous spot where we free the bigger python; Ulu Yam.

After freeing the python, we continued our journey to Ulu Yam town and had Loh Mee.. Yum Yum!

My Karting Helmet

Have it for a long time already. Only got time to upload it now :P It's an OMP Gran Prix. The same helmet Alex Yoong is wearing in his races. Only with Thomas Biagi design on it. Thanks Thomas for letting me create a replica of your helmet.

Lauren & Yuki Engagement

It was a beautiful morning of the eights. In Chinese, it means "Fatt"; in English means "Wealth". Today is the day my friends (Lauren & Yuki) are going to tie the knot with his love one. I was a photographer for them. Started off from my place as early as 8.00am. Afraid being caught in the traffic as the registration place was at Petaling Jaya. And indeed, the traffic was massive. Lucky I was smart enough to make a few calls to check which are the routes to take to minimize the traffic.

Reach the place at about 8.45am. I was shocked to see the place is just a normal house. I remembered when it was my time, I was at a official registration place. But how the hell, did Lauren find it. Anyway, their appointment was at 9.15am. They came on time and everything finished within 15 minutes. That's it, a married couple. Now just waiting for the Chinese Cultural Routine to take place.

Congratulations Lauren & Yuki~ May you have millions of babies and live happily~

Goodbye Grandma

It's early in the morning at 11am when my dad received a call from mum. Then dad asked me to make a phone call for an ambulance for my grandma as she is not feeling well. Before that, grandma fell and broke her pelvic bones. Due to her age and health, she couldn't go for an operation because her heart was too weak. She was at the University Hospital for almost 2 weeks.

She wasn't feeling well in the morning, so I have to made a call for the ambulance as she has a hard time getting up or even sitting up. As soon as I finished making that phone call for the ambulance, mum called me, crying in the conversation, saying "grandma passed away". I was shocked and at the same time speechless. There is nothing I can do and there is nothing I can say. It was just so sad.

Grandma, even though I don't usually go to your place to visit you, but you are always deep in my heart. I will miss you always. I love you. And may you rest in peace and have a better new life~

Grandma passed away on 20 June 2008, 11.25am

Dennis & Joey Wedding

It was a raining Sunday when I woke up at 6.45am in the morning. Then I was thinking, this is not good when the rain is still pouring. Anyway, still have to make my way there. Reach Joey's house at about 7.15am. The house is great. Renovated one year ago.. and it looks excellent. The design is good. Took heaps of pictures along the way until they left the house about 10.45am I reckon.

What made me write this? Well, looking at my good friend getting married, makes me remember my days when I was getting married. Waking up early in the morning to get ready myself.. actually hardly sleep at night. Too nervous, waiting for time to come. All those games in Eva's place and singing and laughing. Can still remember those lovely moment. Yes, Eva is always beautiful to me in person and beautiful in my heart.

So, I would like to say, I love you Eva Ong Bee Wah~ (Reckon a full name is better. So many Eva in this world.. hahaha~)

myKart Round 6, 2008

Well.. today ain't my day as I kept having leceh karts.

Heat 1 : Got kart #20. As soon as I went out for the warm-up lap.. instantly I know I can't win with this kart. There was no pick-up and also no top end. So right at the start.. everyone just ngap me only.. In the middle of the race, Emmy and Abdul Warith spun out. It took them a long time to recover, so I took their place. Else I reckon my kart will lead me to the last position.

Sad

Heat 2 : Got kart #13. This kart is better than kart #20. This kart has top end but no pick-up. Hahaha~ Bad luck. Try to throttle early, so that at least I can follow them to the 1st corner. But as soon as the green flag is waved, they just waved good-bye to me. Was at last place when I hear a loud exhaust coming in the front. Instantly, saying thank you to Captain M Razmyn A Rahman, knowing he will be pitting to change his kart. Emmy spun after that and I overtook her. But Emmy was catching up slowly lap by lap. And finally overtook me at the final lap. Nice run Emmy~

Sad

Final Heat : Don't know what to choose. So I just chose kart #13. Sadly the kart couldn't even start up. See how bad luck today. Anyway, after several tries and still couldn't start the kart, the mechanics asked me to change a kart quickly. Sorry guys, to make you guys run so many formation lap. But next time, I reckon just start the race after 3 formation laps. The show must go on. So there was kart #6. Start it up and just speed off. As soon as I came out, Emmy engine dies off. So another formation lap. Manage to overtake a couple of guys in the first lap and was at 3rd for the remaining laps. Saw the 1st and 2nd driver fighting for their place for a couple of laps.. and then it was just about maintaining that position, bring it home and not make any errors.

Sad

Overall : Wasn't a good day but indeed a nice race knowing no matter where I finish, I will be 1st in my category. And was happy to see my overall position change from 5th to 4th. (Dropped to 5th from 2nd after missing just one rd) Also seeing some other drivers chasing up with the points. Was a fantastic final with the K1 and K2 running together.. Should do it the next time. But with more planning this time. Good race.
