Lotus F1 Karting with Drivers

I was browsing my Facebook account when I saw an update on John King's status saying that he will be busy the whole day. Morning he will be with Nabil launching his Formula BMW races and in the afternoon karting with the Lotus F1 Team. It strikes me when I say Lotus F1 team on his status. Instantly I replied to him asking when and what time the event is being held. He replied asking me not to inform anyone, because it is consider a private session with the press. And so I did. It was held at Elite Speedway Plus at 4.00pm. Lots of media was there. I was always behind the media, because I do not want to disturb the guys at work. Sanjeev Palar from Engine Block was there as well. It was a short press conference with Tony Fernandes, Riad Asmat, Hekki Kovalainen, Jarno Trulli and our Malaysian driver Fairuz Fauzy. Everyone has a few words for the press before heading to the track. The kart was specially prepared by John. The bumpers were painted with green and stickers were on it. Looks fantastic. The karts were fitted with Yamaha 100cc engines complete with electric starters. Basically the same specs with the Yamaha SL cup. It was rainy that day and those guys just drove it with slick tires on. Trulli was not out on the track due to some reasons. So Hekki, Fairuz and Tony took the karts and had real fun out there. Hekki even did a 360 degree spin on purpose for show at the main straight and just before the right hairpin after the parabola. Fantastic~! And the best part of the day, I took my Arai helmet and ask for the driver's autograph. So now my helmet is official Alien Lotus helmet~~! Woohoo~!!

VOLKSWAGEN POLO GTI Owners Group Malaysia

Currently I just joined this group called VOLKSWAGEN POLO GTI Owners Group Malaysia at Facebook. Well, mainly because I am driving a Polo GTi myself. Not sure if I am going to like this owners club, because they just love to talk about modifying their cars to get faster. I am not into modifying my car. I love being in a stock Polo GTi. It's good enough. Well, we will see.. if the topics of modifying still goes on, maybe I will just be a silent member there.

Chiang Mai ~ Pai ~ MaeHongSon

Finally, after Chinese New Year have passed for so long, I am beginning to write about my vacation to Thailand during the Chinese New Year period. But I am also lazy to write too long about it. Hehehehe~ Well, we touched down at Chiang Mai and overnight at Le Meridien. Now I must tell you that, it is fantastic to stay there. Everything is close to perfection and the bed is so nice to sleep on. Once you start jumping onto the bed, you will find yourself too lazy to get out from it. It's that comfortable. Bought some nice funny T-Shirts for myself and my friends. Then the next day we traveled to Pai which we have to take the mountain route, which means to me, Touge time~! We passed over 700 curves to reach Pai and stayed there for a night. The place is beautiful. Small town, minimal traffic, very cold at night and in the morning as well. There was also a street whereby they sold many funny stuffs. But the best thing is the layback style of living they have at Pai. I love that style. Just too bad we have to continue our journey to MaeHongSon the next day. Before we leaved, we went for an Offering to the monks at dawn. It was a nice experience. Something fresh. We continued our journey to MaeHongSon passing through over 1000 curves to reach our destination. Total curves was 1864~!! And we got ourselves a certificate for it. Nothing much there. We only visited the Long Neck Tribe. Something interesting as well. Then it was off to Bangkok the next day. Bangkok, I hate it~! WORST than Kuala Lumpur. Definitely a place I will never step onto again~! Overall the trip was good and I love it. It was not very pushy but a little layback. Good trip. Enjoy some of the photos.

Soloman Kane

Went to watch this at Alamanda Putrajaya. I must say that I love to watch movies there now. Less people and traffic as well on a nice lazy Sunday. Not like the city, crowded with people and traffic. Parking take ages to find and when you found it, you have to fight for it. So not my thing on a lazy Sunday. As for the movie, I kinda like it. Well, I never put any high hopes on movie nowadays because they are always too sci-fi and with all the computer graphics and effects. But no doubt, they are good. The story was fine with me, just the ending with Kane fighting with the big evil devil monster from Hell.. was a little dodgy. Overall my rating, 7 stars out of 10. A movie you should (not must) watch.

GreenZone

Watched this movie few days ago. It's a nice movie and very daring concept. But there were too many movements from the camera and I am not very keen on those movies. Felt uncomfortable half way through the movie, but manage to complete the whole movie without vomitting or headache. Just uncomfortable. Overall, great start and the ending was not too bad. A movie you should (not must) watch. My rating will be 6.5 stars out of 10.
